Elizabeth Gillies
Gillies began her professional career as an actor at 12 years old, at which point she started attending public castings within the community. The actress soon started appearing in commercials for companies such as Virgin Mobile. Gillies' first television role was as a regular character in three episodes from The Black Donnellys. The parents of her did not permit her to see the entire show because they felt that it wasn't appropriate. [citation needed] In 2008 she was cast in minor roles in The Clique, Harold, and Locker 514. She was cast during the summer of 2008 in the role of Lucy, alongside Ariana Grande, her co-star in Victorious as part of Jason Robert Brown's musical 13. Later that year, 13 made the move to Broadway and became an unprecedented Broadway production to have an entire band and cast consisting of teenagers. Gillies was also given the major songs "Opportunity," "It Can't be true," and other smaller numbers like "Hey Kendra," "Getting Ready" and others. Gillies was part of the show through January 4 the 4th of January, 2009.
